How To Send A Private Message On YouTube

Private Messages On YouTube

I was asked by a viewer how to send a private message on YouTube.

So I made a video that explains a couple of ways to send a private message.

What I mean by that is there are a couple of ways to find the Send Message button.

One way is to go to the “About” tab in the nav bar of a Channel Home Page. Click on it and a Send Message button will appear.

You click the button and a mail dialog box opens and you can send your message.

The second way is to find the Channel owners tab on the right sidebar.

Some Channel owners configure their display to hide the nav bar. So that leaves you with the ” by channel owner” drop down on the right side bar.

You click the drop down and the Send Message button appears.

So there you have it. Two ways to send a private message to a Channel owner.

Take in the video and you’ll see what I mean. It’s all laid out for you there.

If you find the information useful, don’t forget to hit the “like”, “Google +”,”tweet”, “Pin” or “Stumble button. Many thanks for  your support.

How To Find The YouTube Inbox Part 4

How To Find The YouTube Inbox Part 4

I just added one more video to the YouTube Inbox series How to find your Inbox.

This one shows how to add Greasemonkey to Firefox or TamperMonkey to Chrome.

These are extensions that let you add code to your browser in order to add functionality.

In this case you are going to add code that will insert the YouTube Inbox tab to the right sidebar of your Homepage.

Remember you want to log into your account before you add these extensions.

Once you have added the extensions, you want to go to http://userscript.org  and in the search box in the right sidebar, you want to type in YouTube Inbox.

This will take you to a page of results and in the middle of the lest you’ll find a link for YouTube Inbox.

Click the link and look for a green button that says Install. Click it.

That installs the code into the browser.

Refresh and you should see a Inbox tab appear in the left sidebar of your Homepage. (Remember you want to logged into your account.)

And there you have it. One more way to get to your inbox.

Hope this post is helpful. Don’t forget to “like”, “tweet”,”Pin”, “Google+”, “Stumble” and let your friends know about this post. Thanks for your support.

Stay with it, stay well and talk soon.

How To Find Your YouTube Inbox Update

April 25, 2013

Had a great comment on my video about how to find your YouTube Inbox. It explained that you can go to the address bar and add /inbox and go to your inbox.

So I made this video update to demonstrate. Have a look and enjoy.

As always, give the video a “like”, “tweet”, “Google+”, “Pin” or “Stumble” if you find this information helpful. Many thanks for your support.

The transcript of the video is next.

Hey. Claude Pelanne here, Affiliate Starting Line. Welcome. It’s going to be a very short video. This is another way to find your inbox when you are looking for it on YouTube. I just got a comment on one of my other videos that shows you how to do it, but this is an even simpler way. Here’s how you do it.

First of all, you’ve got to be logged in to your YouTube channel; you have to be logged in. You can see on the right-hand side, I’m logged in. Step 2: Come up to your address bar, just type in ‘/inbox’. Didn’t know why I didn’t even think of this. Just hit RETURN. Now you go to your inbox; there it is.

You come up, you login to your channel, you come up to the address bar. ‘YouTube/inbox’, it will take you directly to your inbox. That’s it for the video. Hope it’s been helpful. Thank you, Henry, for pointing that out. I’m just doing this on video because it wasn’t obvious in the comments that that’s where you want to go, to the address bar. That’s it. Hope this is helpful. Claude Pelanne, Affiliate Starting Line. Stay with it. Stay well. Talk soon.

Canon Pixma MX892 – How To Unclog A Printer Cart

Canon Pixma MX892 Printer Cart Problem

I had to replace my printer carts on my Canon Pixma MX 892 printer and loaded in several new carts.

I got the carts on Amazon and when I went to print in color the output was awful.

Black and white was fine, it was the color that had a problem.

So I looked for a solution by looking for some diagnostics for the printer.

I went to my printer preferences and selected the printer from the printers options.

I have a Canon MX892. The printer shows up as a Canon MX890 series as an icon, but I have the 892.

You’ll get an “Option and Supplies” button to click. Click and you’ll go to a dialog box that has a nav bar.

On the nav bar you’ll click the “utility” tab and that takes you to a series of tests you can run on the printer.

Each test is icon driven and the very first one is the one that will unclog your carts.

I ran three out of four tests and then printed test pages that confirmed and fixed that my magenta cart was clogged and then fixed.

The process takes about 20 minutes to run all the tests and see if the problem is resolved.

But it worked for me and all is well in the land of printing documents.

Take a look at the video if you have the same problem and it should help you out to get to your fix.

As always, give the video a “Like”, “Tweet”.”Google+”,”Pin”, or “Stumble” if you find the information helpful.

Many thanks for your support. Stay with it, stay well and talk soon.

Problem: My awber opt-in box is outside the website sidebar when I’m using Firefox

How to Fix Firefox When aWeber Opt-in Box is Outside The Sidebar

So I check out my website to make sure all is well and I find my opt-in box outside the sidebar on the right.

I’m in Firefox.

Ok…I go to Chrome and all is well no sidebar issue with the opt-in box.

I check out IE and Safari and all is well.

Now I’m on my Mac.

Next step is to check out the PC. So I do that and the problem repeats on the PC.

Firefox renders the opt in outside the sidebar, IE, Chrome are just fine.

 Solution

I go into the WordPress dashboard. Go to Appearances and then Widgets to check out the situation.

In my widgets I see that I’m using the aWeber widget that lets you dynamically select your opt in box from a drop down menu.

I remember that I had had the same problem in the past so I decide to drag the aWeber widget out of there.

I then put a Text widget in its place. It’s open but empty.

I then open a new tab. Log into aWeber and get the raw html code fore the opt in I want to use.

I go back to my open text widget box and drop in the code.

I hit save, refresh and check out the site on Firefox.

Bingo…the opt in box fits where it is supposed to fit.

I check out the other browsers and all is well both on the Mac and the PC.

So there you have it. If you run into this problem, here is one way to cure it quickly.

Now I’m going to check out with the aWeber folks if they know about this issue with Firefox.

If you find this information useful don’t forget to “Like”,”Google+”,”Tweet”, “Pin”,or “Stumble” this post. Many thanks for your support.

As always, for those who want it, there is a transcript so read on.

How To Find Your Subscriber List In YouTube

If you have a YouTube channel then you know that it can be frustrating to have the layout change on you without notice.

When that happens, how to find your subscriber list in your YouTube channel becomes an issue.

Well, it happened to me and I took the time to plug away at it and find it.

So I made this video and it shows how you go into your personal homepage and click the subscriber tab in the nav bar.

Simple enough.

But if you’ve been conditioned to go the the left sidebar, click the inbox tab and then select Address book to find the subscriber tab, then doing the simple thing is not so obvious.

So now you can take in the video and all is solved.

As always, don’t forget to “like”, “tweet”, “pin”,”Google+” or “stumble” the post if you find the information helpful. Many thanks for your support.
