Problem: My awber opt-in box is outside the website sidebar when I’m using Firefox
How to Fix Firefox When aWeber Opt-in Box is Outside The Sidebar
So I check out my website to make sure all is well and I find my opt-in box outside the sidebar on the right.
I’m in Firefox.
Ok…I go to Chrome and all is well no sidebar issue with the opt-in box.
I check out IE and Safari and all is well.
Now I’m on my Mac.
Next step is to check out the PC. So I do that and the problem repeats on the PC.
Firefox renders the opt in outside the sidebar, IE, Chrome are just fine.
I go into the WordPress dashboard. Go to Appearances and then Widgets to check out the situation.
In my widgets I see that I’m using the aWeber widget that lets you dynamically select your opt in box from a drop down menu.
I remember that I had had the same problem in the past so I decide to drag the aWeber widget out of there.
I then put a Text widget in its place. It’s open but empty.
I then open a new tab. Log into aWeber and get the raw html code fore the opt in I want to use.
I go back to my open text widget box and drop in the code.
I hit save, refresh and check out the site on Firefox.
Bingo…the opt in box fits where it is supposed to fit.
I check out the other browsers and all is well both on the Mac and the PC.
So there you have it. If you run into this problem, here is one way to cure it quickly.
Now I’m going to check out with the aWeber folks if they know about this issue with Firefox.

Hey, Claude Pelanne here at Affiliate Starting Line, welcome. This is going to be a video on a problem that I have to solve. I’m showing you the problem, and then I’m going to show what the solution is once I’ve figured it out.
This is my website. I’m on Firefox, and for some reason my opt in box from AWeber is now outside the margin of the right side bar. I have no explanation why that is. If I go to Chrome, just to show you, and I’m on a Mac right now, it does exactly the same thing on a PC. That’s why I’m on a Mac. I just wanted to see if it was a uh, if I go to my website in Chrome, you can see right here that the opt in box looks fine. If I go in Safari I’ll take a look, and you can see in Safari it’s fine. So, Safari it works. In Chrome it works, but in Firefox bingo.
So. I’m going to pause the the video and when I find the solution, I’m going to add to the video and you will then have, for all of you who run into this problem, the solution waiting for you. Talk soon.
Hey, Claude Pelanne here at Affiliate Starting Line. This is part two. To recap I’m trying to fix, if you can see here on my screen flow, my main screen, my opt in box from AWeber is outside the margin of my sidebar, and it’s only happening in Firefox. What did I do?
Let’s go back over here, and here’s what I did. I went into AWeber where I have my forms, and I came into my form. I picked this form right here. I made a little change. I added a name, etc. I saved my form. Then I came here and got the raw HTML version of the code and copied it, all right? I did a control C, and then I came into my back office of my website, came down here into appearance and widgets, and what I did was is I took my AWeber web form which I had been using and took it out. I went into my text and brought in a text file, and I put my code in. Just the text widget. A simple text widget, OK? Then I moved it back up here to the top. I did a refresh, and then I went into Firefox, refreshed it. I work out of Chrome, and there it is. It’s back where it belongs.
In Firefox, if you have that problem, one way to solve it is to go into your back office. If you’ve been using AWeber web form, take it out, drag your text widget in just like I do here, put in the code, and put the text widget wherever you want it. I don’t want this text widget, so I already did that, and bingo, you’re website will be back in action, and you will have this corrected.
That’s how you fix in Firefox, and if you want to double check that it doesn’t do anything in Safari, let’s go check there, so that I know. In Safari, everything was working before. It’s still working there. Then I’ll go check Internet Explorer, and I’ll go on my PC, and odds are it’s all going to be fixed.
That’s how you fix the sidebar issue in Firefox when the AWeber opt in box goes outside the margin.
