iMovie Tutorial – How To Figure Out the New iMovie Interface
I used to use iMovie 08 and upgraded to iMovie 11 version 10.0.1. To add to the mix I also upgraded to Mavericks Operating System.
So when I opened iMovie 11 things looked different. Not too different, but different enough that I decided to do a video about the new user interface.
You’ll see in the video that the default screen divides up into three areas.
In the upper left you get the browser for your events as you create them.
In the upper left you have the viewing screen for the event and the project when you are in the edit mode.
And in the bottom, you have the timeline screen where you will find your events displayed if you select event from the sidebar menu or it is where you will drag and drop or click your clips into the timeline when you have created a movie or project to edit.
When you do create a movie you will see a shift in the user interface display. That is the subject of part 3 in the series.
So take a look at the video and get a grasp of the UI and then you’ll be ready to import and edit with a better feel for the context of your workflow.
As always don’t forget to “Google+”, “Like”,”Tweet”,”Stumble”, “Pin” and whatever else you can think of. Many thanks for your support.
Enjoy the video.
